Snap out of it

To suddenly improve your mood, whether you are in a bad mood or depressed sometimes you have to make a conscious effort to snap out of it.

Imagine you are feeling depressed and you go to see a hypnotist, the hypnotist tells you that he’s going to put you into a trance but when he clicks his fingers you will snap out of it. The hypnotist puts you into a trance and when he clicks his fingers you wake up feeling on top of the world, the hypnotist has helped you to snap out of it.
